Get rid of CC offers and junk mail!

Here's one of the best links you'll ever find. The Direct Marketing Association can you help to stop the masses of junk mail and credit card offers stuffing your mail and email.

Here's one that should be obvious- write to the company sending you mail, and they have to stop! They are required to do so by law. If you receive tons of credit cards offers, you probably are on just one or two major bank lists but they have a ton of cards they want you to sign up for. I wrote Bank of America for instance, and 3/4 of those credit card offers stopped. You can even send your letter back in those prepaid envelopes they send you with their offer- so they're paying for it instead of you. You can do the same think with other catalogues and envelopes that provide postage paid envelopes.

There is a lot of free stuff out there to help you. Look on the web, you may have pop-up and spam blockers sitting on your computer desktop and you don't even know it. Google has a great one, for instance, just make sure its active.

Spybot is a great little piece of software that will search, find and remove those creepy little program that ads self-install on your computer. http://www.spybot.info/en/donations/index.html
